Following its launch in 1959, the classic Mini was soon on its way to becoming a global icon, especially after partnering with Cooper in the early 60’s to develop the fabled Cooper & Cooper S variants. Not long after the Cooper S’s release it was entered in the Monte Carlo Rallye, which it sensationally won in 1964 & 65. Production of the classic Mini continued until 2000 when the last one rolled off the production line; however, this was swiftly followed by the new generation BMW Mini, which launched in the same year. Scorpion has been producing performance exhausts for the classic and new generation Minis for over 30 years, so it was natural that we became the chief technical partner with the increasingly popular Mini Challenge race series, ensuring true track-to-road technology transfer for our products.
