Following its launch in 1959, the classic Mini was soon on its way to becoming a global icon, especially after partnering with Cooper in the early 60’s to develop the fabled Cooper & Cooper S variants. Not long after the Cooper S’s release, it was entered in the Monte Carlo Rallye, which it sensationally won in 1964 & 65. Production of the classic Mini continued until 2000, when the last one rolled off the production line. However, this was swiftly followed by the new generation BMW Mini, which launched in the same year. Scorpion has been producing performance exhausts for the classic and new generation Minis for over 30 years, so it was natural that we became the chief technical partner with the increasingly popular Mini Challenge race series, ensuring true track-to-road technology transfer for our products.

Road-Test Review:
During our road test, we thoroughly evaluated the non-resonated Cat-back system in real-world driving conditions. We were endlessly entertained by the “orchestra of chaos”, a deep, aggressive tone that made the MINI sound like a well-tuned 60s V8 motor cut in half, with a turbo strapped to the side. It’s a boisterous four-cylinder indeed, with the factory-fitted sport mode delivering a pronounced and attention-grabbing overrun when engaged.
We’d recommend this setup for those seeking the full-on experience, while a resonated option may be more suitable for those looking for a more family-friendly alternative.
Cat-Back Systems:
Our expert technicians have developed a range of performance exhaust systems, including a 70mm/2.75” TunR Cat-back and a 70mm/2.75” Cat-back, both offered with twin 114mm tailpipes. These exhausts are available in two options: resonated (fitted with a centre silencer to help reduce drone and provide a more refined sound) or non-resonated (which removes the original silencer for a louder sound).
70mm/2.75” TunR Cat-back: Our TunR system offers valve functionality, allowing drivers to control their car’s sound with the TunR Active Exhaust Valve and wireless remote fob. Whether you’re seeking a subtle, refined tone for daily driving or an open, unrestricted sound for spirited runs, our valve module lets you choose the ideal exhaust tone with just the click of a button (TunR system only).

Its two-piece floating construction, with an inner brushed stainless-steel insert, allows hot gases to pass through without discolouring or weakening the outer carbon shell.
Daytona: This design needs no introduction, the classic Scorpion Daytona slash-cut style with a modern twist on a timeless look. The Daytona is a great-looking option for everything from hot hatchbacks to flagship autobahn saloons.
